Amutha Bharathi is a PD CAD & Methodology Engineer at Apple with over 8 years of relevant experience. She is an expert in developing Automatic Place and Route (APR) CAD flows for advanced process nodes. Apart from her professional experience, Amutha is also a maker and electronics enthusiast who loves to tinker with embedded systems, hardware I/F protocols (I2C, UART, SPI, JTAG), single board computers, AI accelerators (Edge TPU, Neural Compute Sticks) and FPGAs. Amutha started her career at Intel as a Design Automation Intern - Performance Verification and Optimization, where she worked on characterization and analysis of full chip timing with different library models. Later, she moved up to become a Design Automation Engineer at Intel, where she gained more experience in physical design automation. Amutha holds a Master's degree in VLSI & Computer Architecture from the University of Minnesota and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the National Institute of Technology Tiruchirappalli. She has a strong technical background and is proficient in AI. Currently, Amutha works at Apple as a Physical Design CAD & Methodology Engineer, where she is responsible for developing and maintaining CAD methodologies for physical design flows.
