Amuthan Sakthivel is a Test Automation Engineer and the Founder of Testing Mini Bytes, a popular YouTube channel that provides valuable insights and tutorials on automation testing. He is also a Udemy Instructor and a Simple Common Man with a passion for technology and innovation. With over 7 years of relevant experience, Amuthan has developed a diverse set of skills in various automation testing tools and frameworks. Currently, Amuthan works as a Staff Software Engineer - TestOps at Clipboard Health, a fast-growing YCombinator funded startup that uses technology to match healthcare professionals with the right healthcare facilities. At Clipboard Health, Amuthan has created a single framework that automates web applications, native Android and iOS apps, and web services using Selenium, Appium, and Rest Assured libraries. He has also integrated the framework with Test Rail to update results and MongoDB to set up test data. Amuthan has set up a CI/CD pipeline with Github Actions, a pre-commit hook to format code, and a quality gate using Sonarqube and unit tests. He has also incorporated clean code, design principles, and unit tests in the automation framework. Amuthan has actively participated in SDET hiring processes and written engineering blogs for the organization. In the past, Amuthan worked as a Test Automation Engineer at DHL, where he developed automation test suites with UFT and Appium and automated web services using Rest Assured. He also conducted sessions on advanced topics like Docker, DevOps, Jenkins, Selenoid, and AWS for testers within the organization. Before that, Amuthan worked as an Associate at Cognizant, where he performed automation using Selenium to automate a huge ecommerce application end-to-end and integrated Appium scripts to run on Seetest cloud parallelly across ten devices at a time. Amuthan holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Anna University, completed in 2015. He has a diverse tech stack that includes AWS, Docker, Java, Selenium, SQL, Jenkins, MongoDB, iOS, Kubernetes, and more.
