Amy Ko is a highly accomplished Professor at the University of Washington with a passion for studying equitable ways for humanity to learn the power and perils of computing. With over 20 years of relevant experience, she is an expert in human-computer interaction, interaction design, software engineering, and information and society. In addition to her teaching responsibilities, Amy also helps run academic programs and organize academic and professional communities. Prior to her current role, Amy was the Co-founder & Chief Scientist of AnswerDash, where she was responsible for R&D, product strategy, and academic liaison. AnswerDash was acquired by CloudEngage in 2020. She also served as the Co-founder & Chief Technology Officer of AnswerDash, where she managed product management, architecture, technology stack, team building, engineering, interaction design, usability engineering, hiring, IT, and all around bit nitpicker. Amy holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Human-Computer Interaction from Carnegie Mellon University, where she completed her studies in 2008. She also holds a High School degree from West Linn High School, where she completed her studies in 1998. Amy's tech stack includes research scientist, designer, and product manager. Her expertise and experience make her a valuable asset to any organization looking to make strides in the field of human-computer interaction and computing.
