Anand Asokan is a Robotics Software Engineer currently working at Aptiv and pursuing his Master of Science in Robotics at the University of Michigan. He is passionate about advancing the field of Human-Robot interaction, particularly in assistive technologies and wearable robots. Anand's research interests lie in Rehabilitation Robotics, Humanoid Robotics, Human-Robot Interaction, and Manipulators. Anand is skilled in Robot Dynamics, Control Theory, Motion Planning, Machine Learning, and Software development in Python, C++, and MATLAB. He has experience working as a Graduate Student Instructor and Researcher at the University of Michigan, where he taught programming with C++ and MATLAB and worked on Data-Driven Geometric Gait Optimization using Support Vector Regression for segmented bio-inspired robots with Dr. Shai Revzen. Currently, as an Automated Driving Algorithm Developer at Aptiv, Anand is developing next-generation algorithms for safe L2+/L3- autonomous driving. He is well-versed in Mapping and Localization, Advanced Safety, and User Experience. Anand holds a Bachelor of Technology in Instrumentation and Control Engineering from the National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli, and completed his Class 12 education in Science (Biology, Math, Physics, Chemistry & English) from Kendriya Vidyalaya. With a relevant experience of 2.19 years, Anand Asokan is a Software Engineer and Research Scientist with expertise in Python and ML.
