Anand Desai is a senior director and leader with over 23 years of experience in the technology industry. He has a proven track record of managing large teams and delivering successful projects. Currently, he is the Head of Compliance Technology India at a leading European investment bank, where he is responsible for building and managing the IT platform. Anand has extensive experience in risk technologies and data management, having worked across New York, Singapore, and India. Anand is also the CIO of Travel Designer Group, where he is part of the core management team. He provides technology vision for the flagship product Rezlive.com and leads a team of technology experts across areas such as new development, enhancements, production support, infrastructure, data analytics/processing, and technology innovation. Anand's expertise lies in building distributed applications in front office and back office technologies, and he has hands-on experience in various technologies such as PHP, MYSQL, Javascript, HTML5, REDIS, MongoDB, Pentaho Data Integration & Reporting, and XML Web services. Previously, Anand was the CIO & Co-founder of ADAP, where he headed all vendor engagements within CRO IT globally. He oversaw vendor delivery engagements, which were comprised of 200+ team members, across credit risk, market risk, operational risk, data management, methodology & reporting, project management, and production support. He was also the Head of Compliance Technology India at Credit Suisse, where he led a team of 450+ technology professionals, mainly focusing on big data technologies such as Cloudera, Hadoop, ReactJS, Java SpringBoot, Oracle, Tableau, Python, and full-stack development across all compliance areas. Anand holds a Master of Information Science degree in Computer Science from LIU Post and a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical from NIT Surat. He has a diverse tech stack, including designer, Big Data, Hadoop, Spring Boot, Redis, Python, ReactJS, Java, Javascript, PHP, MySQL, MongoDB, Integration, and Web infra.
