Anand is a highly experienced product and technology leader with over 32 years of relevant experience. He is currently serving as the Director of Product Management at Walmart, where he is responsible for driving portfolio strategy, execution plan, adoption, and customer success. Anand has a diverse portfolio of internet-scale data platforms, including transaction and analytics data stores, streams, and storage. He has successfully transitioned from proprietary software and appliances to cloud-native services built using open-source components. Anand has served as a software engineering executive for globally distributed product development, leading multi-platform CRM and communication software for global enterprises. He has a proven track record of building effective teams, integrating acquisitions, and managing operations across nine locations on three continents. Before joining Walmart, Anand worked at PayPal as the Director of Product Management, Platform. He was the M&A lead for technical due diligence and led the Data Services portfolio, which included observability, streaming, experimentation, instrumentation, personalization, and media services. Anand also worked at x.commerce as the Principal Product Manager, Commerce Fabric, where he was a founding team member of a new eBay, Inc. business. He built an ecosystem to standardize on a commerce integration language so that merchants could easily stitch together best-in-class commerce capabilities from diverse providers. Anand holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from the National Institute of Technology Karnataka. His tech stack includes product management, infrastructure, NodeJS, Javascript, and data warehousing.
