Anand Kumar is a Final year Computer Science Dual Degree (B Tech + M Tech) student from the National Institute of Technology, Hamirpur, India with a CGPA of 9.34/10 (graduating May 2023). He has demonstrated his skills and expertise in software engineering, data science, and data analytics through his various internships and mentorship roles. Anand has previously interned at Goldman Sachs, India, where he improved the Guidance system of their portal by modifying the data model and simplifying the frontend, making it easier for the users to access the guidance panel. He has also worked as a Data Science Intern at Bookscribs, Boston, US, where he worked on a budget prediction model using 7 different parameters of a movie script based on its story adaptation. He has also been a mentor and opensource contributor at GirlScript Summer of Code 2022. Anand is a mentor at Google Summer of Code 2022, where he mentored 4 projects under Radis open-source organization, performed code reviews, resolved issues, and guided mentees throughout the program. He was also an Open-Source Developer at Google Summer of Code 2021, where he was responsible for increasing the performance of the codebase by 4000% by adding 4400+ lines of code. In all his previous experiences, Anand has demonstrated his ability to liaise with the team using the agile method, work flexibly with new technologies, and maintain sincerity and work satisfaction. He is a volunteer at GLUG-NITH, where he organized Open-Source Month at NITH for 200+ students. He was also the Technical Programming Head at Robotics Society, NIT Hamirpur, where he mentored 300+ students at AI Bot Workshop and secured 1st position at HACK 4.0 Hackathon as team lead, demonstrating his leadership qualities.
