Anand Mathew is an accomplished Compliance and Operational Risk Control professional with a strong background in data analytics and engineering. He is currently working as a Co-op with UBS, where he is responsible for driving C&ORC strategic initiatives. Anand has a proven track record of delivering successful projects and has saved UBS over 200 man-hours per month by administering the GST package. Anand started his career as an Application Developer with IBM, where he gained extensive experience in SAP consulting. He was responsible for data analysis on SAP Cubes and SAP programs to detect anomalies that led to disruption of service. Anand also performed database backup, data clean-up, and data recovery from legacy systems. He implemented 'Neptune', an automated travel and expense reimbursement tool, which saved 30,000 UBS Europe employees' work-time. Anand is a skilled data analyst and has completed his Master of Science in Data Analytics Engineering from Northeastern University. He has also completed his Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Govt. of Goa College of Engineering, Goa, Farmagudi, Ponda. Anand has a strong academic background and has also completed his High School education from A.J. De Almeida High School. He has also completed a personal project on Exploratory Data Analysis with SAS, where he performed customer intelligence analysis and graded customers based upon loyalty and behavior with RFM analysis in R.
