Anand Ramakrishnan is an experienced Engineering Leader with a strong background in building and scaling products across multiple verticals. He is currently working at Coupa Software as an Engineering Manager for Mobile Applications, where he leads a geo-distributed team of developers and QE's to achieve success. Anand has a strong focus on supporting, empowering, and coaching his team members, providing technical leadership and product guidance/strategy to build complex applications in the Mobile space. With over 12 years of experience building scalable web-based applications using a variety of programming languages, Anand has a focus on UI, front-end technologies, and performance. He has held various IC roles at other companies where he has donned the hats of a software engineer, product/project manager, scrum master, and UX designer for several successful projects. At Coupa Software, Anand has successfully led the transition of iOS and Android native apps to use the React Native library, enabling the team to build new product areas and improve existing features with overarching goals of feature parity, faster go-to-market, performance, robustness, and consistent UX. He has also implemented a process improvement to enable the team to build smaller, faster releases, resulting in consistently shipping 50% more releases than the previous years. Anand has a Master's degree in Computer Engineering from Syracuse University and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Anna University.
