Anand Venkatraman is a Chief Operating Officer at CleverTap, a SaaS company, with over 20 years of experience in building and scaling businesses globally. He has a proven track record in internationalization, building highly engaged teams, and establishing creative approaches for optimizing internal processes and customer success. Anand is known to be systematic with an aptitude for both strategic and tactical, inherently analytical, but also thriving in ambiguity, with a penchant for ecosystem building and management. Prior to his current position, Anand worked as the Senior Vice President & General Manager for ANZ, APAC, India, Middle East, and Africa markets at Freshworks, a cloud-based SaaS business with multiple easy-to-use products. He was responsible for direct and indirect business in these regions, which have the highest potential for the next billion users and most complexity in heterogeneity, requiring a unique GTM approach. In the process of ramping the organization, building regional presence, growing the ecosystem, and driving customer intimacy for success. Anand has also worked as the Global VP and head of partnerships at Freshworks, where he built a global ecosystem with all partner types, boutique SIs, GSIs, VARs, VADs, ISVs, tech partners, and startup ecosystems in over 50 countries. He scaled the partnerships business into the fastest-growing hard revenue engine, and one of the largest businesses for the company, transitioning from SMB orientation, consistently grown at 2X business growth rates. Anand has also worked as an Area Vice President at Akamai, where he was responsible for India & Emerging APAC business, the internet thought leadership, relationships with the external ecosystem, customer CXO suite & regulators. He created a highly engaged & motivated team with zero regrettable attrition through the tenure. Made Akamai South Asia one of the fastest-growing regions in the world in 2016 and 2017. Anand holds an MBA in Marketing & Systems from Pondicherry University and a BE in Production Engineering from Nagpur University.
