Ananda S. is an accomplished engineering leader with over 14 years of experience in online payments, cloud/virtualization, security management, accounting and finance, and e-commerce domains. Currently, he is an Engineering Manager at VMware, where he manages four teams across different geographies for the VMware UEM Workspace ONE Tunnel. Ananda is responsible for managing initiatives, releases, pay and performance, hiring, roadmap planning, and tech community initiatives. He has hands-on experience in back-end, web, and distributed systems working on scale, leading development teams to deliver successful releases. Ananda has worked on several high-impact projects, including QuickBooks Online Advanced and QuickBooks US, Dell's Online Payment Gateway, vRealize product, and McAfee Security and Partner site. He has managed Apple (iOS macOS), Android, C/C++ Windows, C#, and Java server teams and has hands-on experience with Java 8, C#.Net, JavaScript, jQuery, Spring MVC, Spring Boot, and REST API. Currently, Ananda is a hands-on leader who owns the Workspace One - UEM VMware Tunnel Solution End-End across all platforms, for premier and large enterprise customers. He manages delivery across four technically diverse teams for the Tunnel VPN product, spread across Bangalore and Atlanta. His team comprises of a Server team, iOS/MacOS, Android, Chrome OS, and Windows client teams. He manages engineers with tech skills across Java, C/C++. SWIFT/Objective C, C# ranging from Staff engineers, Leads to Senior engineers; both Dev and QE. Ananda has previously worked as a Lead Engineer (Member of Technical Staff III) at VMware, where he led the (vCAC) "vCloud Automation Center" (also known as vRA vRealize Cloud Automation) VMware's Enterprise IaaS (Infrastructure-as-a-Service) product providing Cloud and Virtualization management solutions. He has also worked as an Engineering Manager at Halodoc, managing the Engineering team of 12+ engineers for IHS - (In Hospital Service) at Halodoc. Ananda holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Information Technology from UVCE and a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Information Science and Engineering from Bangalore University. He is a Senior Software Engineer with relevant experience of 15.53 years and has expertise in iOS, Spring, Web, Java, AWS, Javascript, Spring Boot, Android, Backend, Software Engineer, and Objective-c.
