Anant Prasad is an experienced backend and android developer with a demonstrated history of working in the open source community and with a startup organization. He is skilled in Ruby on Rails, Java, and Android and is a graduate of the Android Developer Nanodegree program. Anant has a B.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Amrita University, India. Currently, Anant is working as a software engineer in the ETL and product engineering team of Clarisights. He is responsible for building integrations to ingest data from various marketing platforms including Google Ads, Facebook, Outbrain, etc. at a scale of more than 3 million objects every day. Anant has also been responsible for a major Rails upgrade from v5.2 to v6.0 and migrating different data pipelines into a common single pipeline with multiple configuration options which helped the team build more integrations faster and resulted in increased engineering bandwidth. In his past role as a software engineer intern at Clarisights, Anant worked with the core engineering team to develop new features for their product and optimized the overall performance of the web app. He was responsible for developing new features for their customer-facing web platform, developing performant backend APIs which served heavy payloads with minimal latency, API integrations with multiple advertising channels, and developing a dynamic cache invalidation module which helped get rid of stale data. Anant also worked with Google script to automate certain Ad Hoc tasks which ultimately increased the team's bandwidth by 30%. Anant has also worked as a Google Summer of Code mentor at FOSSASIA, where he mentored students contributing to Android projects. He executed responsibilities such as reviewing PRs, planning OKRs, defining SLAs, and making sure every student is learning and progressing towards the end goal. Anant also worked on setting up the CI/CD, monitored and fixed issues with deployments to keep the other contributors unblocked.
