Ananya Gupta is a Software Engineer at Microsoft, currently working on Viva Insights, a new product that helps employers make data-driven decisions to improve employee well-being and satisfaction. She graduated with a degree in Computer and Communications Engineering from Manipal Institute of Technology in 2020. Ananya has experience with ReactJS & Typescript to develop custom UI components centered around Fluent UI design system, JavaScript for front-end logic and .NET (C#) for server side processing. She also has interests in NLP, Machine Learning, and Data Mining and is open to collaborations in these areas. During her college years, Ananya pursued her passion for using technology to build innovative products that solve real-world problems. She built an Android application called 'Ghar Ke Chefs' that enables people to buy/sell homemade food in their neighborhood, which received many accolades at hackathons like Microsoft code.fun.do, GeeksforGeeks ProGeekCup and college tech-fests. Ananya was also actively involved in student clubs, women in tech communities, tech conferences, and events. She was one of the founding board members of the ACM-W Manipal chapter and was selected as a GHCI'19 student scholar. Ananya's past work experience includes working as a Software Engineer at Microsoft's Azure data center services team, where she contributed to the development of a Dynamics 365 application that leverages Power Platform and Azure capabilities to orchestrate data center procurement, cost management, change management, safety, and commissioning. She also worked as a Software Engineer Intern, where she facilitated data center commissioning for Microsoft by contributing to the development of project Compass, a Microsoft Dynamics CRM application. Ananya's tech stack includes Software Engineering, UI, NLP, Azure, designer, Javascript, Typescript, ML, Frontend, ReactJS, and Android. With relevant experience of 2.78 years, Ananya is constantly on the lookout to find growth and learning opportunities and to give back to the community. On a personal front, she enjoys reading, traveling, and good tea.
