Ananya Paul is a Lead Engineer at Samsung R&D Institute Bangalore with over 7 years of relevant experience in software development. Her expertise lies in solving complex problems involving both Neural Networks and networked environments, with a focus on backend development. Ananya has been working as a backend developer since 2015, using C++11+ and Python. Ananya's current project at Samsung involves DSP backend support for NN models (C++), where she works as a core team member in the development of DSP backend support as a computing unit for running neural network models for camera applications. Her work involves enabling neural network caffemodels to run on DSP compute units using C++, resulting in faster execution of models used in camera systems in Samsung. Ananya has received a Spot Award for enablement of the computing unit. Additionally, she has worked on quantization schemes and quantizing float caffe models to int8 NN models, creating model debugging code representing quantization ranges and weight values and graph representing it. Ananya has also gone to QIPL for supporting DSP backend singlehandedly. Before her current role, Ananya worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Samsung R&D Bangalore, where she was involved in the Mission Critical Push to Talk project based on 3GPP for KT (South Korea) operator. She worked as a team member in understanding the 3GPP standards for MCPTT and operator requirements, and was involved in the development of various services related to MCPTT, including emergency calls, recording feature, upgrade and downgrade calls (audio-video, halfduplex-fullduplex), session refresh scenario based on SIP, floor control based on MBCP, and optimization of state machines in 3GPP doc for emergency call. Ananya also worked in nodejs for supporting emergency calls from the server-side. Ananya has a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Computer Science from the National Institute of Technology Warangal, where she graduated in 2015. She also has a degree in Intermediate from Delhi Public School Bolaro and a 10th degree from Scottish Public School.
