Ananya Simlai is a highly experienced Solutions Architect with a focus on planning, design, development, deployment, and testing of 5G SA/NSA/LTE telecom networks across multiple geographies. She specializes in consulting operators on the transition to container-based Cloud Native Telecom Software for onboarding the 5G era of Mobility. Ananya has extensive technical skills in mobility, including designing 5G SMF/UPF/AMF (Cloud native Network Functions) based on containers and microservices, designing NFV based packet core solutions, and designing 5G NSA (Option 3x – 4G CUPs). She also has experience in LTE base stations (eNodeB) interoperability, test and validation, Voice-over-LTE (VoLTE) design and integration with IMS core, and User equipment acceptance tests for VoLTE and VoWiFi. Ananya has a proven track record of success in designing and implementing virtualized packet core and cloud-RAN, LTE-Advanced, and IOT solutions. Ananya is currently working as an Industry Solutions Architect at Google, where she is responsible for providing solutions to industry-specific problems and working with customers to understand their business requirements. Prior to joining Google, she worked as a Staff Architect at VMware, where she created reference architectures and solutions for future-ready Telco Edge infrastructure for MEC, enterprise networks, and Virtual RAN. She also worked as a Solutions Architect at Cisco, where she led technical teams of large accounts and was responsible for all deliverables of a multicultural global team. Ananya has a strong leadership background, including experience in customer requirement discussion and constant engagement with the customer throughout the project lifecycle. She has also developed project plans and provided level of effort estimation while bringing together teams located globally to work together in a project. Ananya has a degree from the University of Pune and has relevant experience of 13.28 years. She is proficient in senior software engineering, testing, integration, mobile, microservices, infra, and Kubernetes.
