Anas Jafry is a passionate Data Scientist with over 2 years of industry experience. He strongly believes that Data is driving the world and its role will become greater by the years. Anas appreciates good design and is seeing its importance more than ever in today’s apps, websites, and products. Currently, Anas is working as a Data Scientist at Tiger Analytics. He has also worked at Tiger Analytics as a Senior Analyst - Data Science, where he developed an approach to extract and normalize payee name from the description of credit transaction data. He extracted payee names by identifying key patterns in data using regex and normalized the extracted payee names with a master list of payees, using string matching (calculating Levenshtein distance). Anas also built a solution that helped determine the optimal pricing for a real estate logistics provider. He provided analysis & insights on key trends seen in pricing renewals and designed a web tool for the leasing team to curate the competitor comparable properties and adjust the price elasticity curves accordingly. Anas also developed a tool to refresh models quickly to optimize the turnaround time for model refresh. Anas completed his B.Tech with integrated M.Tech in Biological/Biosystems Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras in 2018. He also completed his High School from The Indian High School Dubai in 2006 and Devagiri CMI Public School in 2011.
