Anastasia Helfinstein is a highly experienced Software Engineer with a passion for making technology more accessible. Currently working at Google, she is focused on making Chrome and Chrome OS more accessible to all users. Anastasia has over 10 years of relevant experience in the field of software engineering, with a strong background in computer science. Prior to joining Google, Anastasia was the President and Co-Founder of Shrunken Heads Production Company, an entirely student-run organization at UCSB that produces musical theatre productions that spotlight the many talented individuals at the school. During her time there, she designed and coded the website for the group, showcasing her skills in web development and design. Anastasia has also worked as a Software Engineering Intern at Twitter, where she redesigned and expanded the ad engagement validation system. She optimized the system for efficiency without degrading behavior, improved the visibility of key metrics, and expanded upon existing filtration criteria based on behavior of known malicious users for greater accuracy. Anastasia holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from the University of California, Santa Barbara, where she graduated in 2017. Her education and experience have equipped her with a strong technical skill set, including expertise in software engineering. Anastasia is a valuable asset to any team, and her passion for accessibility and technology makes her an ideal candidate for any software engineering position.
