Anatoliy Kats is a seasoned software engineer and a psychotherapist-in-training with a passion for delivering mental health services at scale. He is currently pursuing psychology classes at Lesley University to advance his mission of providing clinically effective and financially sustainable mental health services. As the Chief Product Officer at Reviving Mind, Anatoliy leverages his clinical and engineering skills to formulate requirements and lead their implementation. He specializes in backend development on Python/Django, ETL, and machine learning engineering, including creating test harnesses and data annotation services. With a background in computer vision, he has a keen interest in psychodynamic clinical practices. Anatoliy’s experience as a veteran tech entrepreneur makes him an asset to startup founders, as he helps them avoid unnecessary technology expenses. He is also a software engineering consultant for AK WellTech, which provides mental health tech solutions. His past clients include ePropertyCare, where he built an MVP on top of an existing Airtable DB, and Refactored.ai, where he designed and implemented infrastructure for a service analyzing videos of mock interviews using computer vision algorithms. Anatoliy has a Master of Science degree in Computer Vision from the University of Toronto, a Master of Science degree in Mathematics from Carnegie Mellon University, and is currently pursuing a Master of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lesley University. He has worked as a contract software engineer at Pfizer, where he led a team of four to improve the SDLC on the RNA data management platform. His introduction of test-driven development and refactoring improved development velocity and reduced release cycles from quarterly to biweekly. The platform played a role in the COVID vaccine work. Anatoliy’s tech stack includes product management, software engineering, backend development, testing, computer vision, Python, Django, machine learning, ETL, AWS, AI, Docker, Tensorflow, Flask, and web infrastructure.
