Anchit Sood is a Robotics and Automation master with expertise in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Computer Science. With extensive experience in mechanical design processes, he is proficient in multiple CAD and CAE software suites, including SolidWorks, Autodesk products, CATIA, ANSYS, COMSOL, and NX. He is also well-versed in robot motion simulation tools such as Visual Components and KUKA.Sim. Anchit is currently working at BACA Systems, close to Detroit, where he is designing robot systems and developing CAM software for the stone fabrication industry. He has advanced competency in working with KUKA robots and is a systems integrator well-versed in designing RIA compliant Functional Safety Systems. He is also comfortable with UL, CSA, and CE certification processes. As a Senior Robotics Software Engineer at aescape, Anchit is responsible for leading and managing software projects, creating and evaluating software architecture, and working with KUKA robots. He has hands-on control systems experience with microcontrollers, circuit design, and data acquisition. He is also experienced in Agile Software Development and has a strong working knowledge of algorithms and data structures. In his previous role as a Senior Robotics Engineer - Software & Automation at BACA Systems, Anchit was the lead developer for CAM software for the RoboSawJet™ and RoboLution™ products. He managed a team of three for the development and expansion of in-house CAM software RoboCut™ and was closely involved in customer feedback-based feature development and bug fixes. He also developed efficient inverse kinematic models for robot tools, generated ultra-fast post processors for multiple end-effectors based on kinematic models, and created automatic path correction and singularity avoidance algorithms. Anchit holds a Master of Science (M.S.) in Mechanical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University and a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) (Honors) in Mechanical Engineering from BITS. He completed his secondary education at Sri Guru Gobind Singh Collegiate Public School, Chandigarh, and Bhavan Vidyalaya, Panchkula. With 5.77 years of relevant experience, Anchit is a professional robot tamer who finds satisfaction in transforming a concept into reality and pushing boundaries.
