Anderson Parra is an experienced software engineer and researcher with over a decade of industry experience in software engineering. He is currently working as an Expert Software Engineer at SeatGeek. Anderson is passionate about building systems that bring value to stakeholders and users and is always looking for opportunities to learn more and become a better professional. He believes that software enables people to be creative because it saves their time. Anderson has worked on many different types of systems with diverse sets of constraints and challenges, mainly based on JVM (Java and Scala). He is also experienced in high-scale distributed systems and functional programming. Prior to joining SeatGeek, Anderson worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Revolut and LiveIntent, Inc. At LiveIntent, Inc., he worked on building, maintaining, scaling, and operating real-time systems in marketing and product analytics platforms. The pipeline was responsible for identifying users and tracking the way they engage with websites, enriching and storing collected data, and using big data tools to analyze these data and extract insights. Anderson has a Master's degree in Computer Science with a focus on Distributed Systems from Universidade Federal de São Carlos and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Universidade Anhembi Morumbi. He also has a Postgraduate degree in Web Development and Ubiquitous Computing from Universidade Federal de São Carlos. Anderson's tech stack includes software engineering, research science, Scala, Java, Spark, Apache Airflow, Amazon Athena, big data, Docker, JavaScript, and microservices.
