Andrea Luzzardi is a highly experienced Engineer with over 13 years of relevant experience. Currently, she holds the position of Lead Architect & Engineering Manager at Docker, a company where she has been an early employee and has held different positions and roles as the company grew. She is one of the original contributors and maintainers of the Docker project and has started the Swarm and SwarmKit projects for container orchestration. As an Engineering Manager for the Orchestration Team and Lead Architect for the Engineering team, she oversees the architecture of both the Open Source and Enterprise projects at Docker. Prior to joining Docker, Andrea worked as a Software Engineer at Google, where she was part of the Storage Infrastructure group. She worked on a very high qps, low latency, planetary scale, eventually consistent distributed key value service used by almost all Google products. She also worked as a Software Engineer at dotCloud, where she helped create what eventually became known as Docker. dotCloud (now Docker, Inc) provided a Platform as a Service offering that supported many different application stacks. She originally worked on the platform's infrastructure (containerization, app deployment, image distribution) and later became the first engineer assigned to work on open sourcing the container runtime which became the Docker project. Andrea holds a Master's degree in Information Technology from EPITECH - European Institute of Technology and a Bachelor's degree in the same field from the same institution. Her tech stack includes Senior Software Engineer, Docker, Software Engineer, and infra. With her vast experience and expertise, Andrea is a valuable asset to any organization in the tech industry.
