Andrei Montchik is an experienced Principal Software Engineer with over 22 years of experience in software development. He is currently working as a Staff Engineer at Gemini, where he is part of a team building the next generation of the exchange's trade execution system. Andrei specializes in designing and implementing high throughput low latency systems, and has a proven track record in software development. Prior to joining Gemini, Andrei worked at CME as a Lead Software Engineer, where he was the Technical Lead of the Pricing system. He took over technical ownership and refactored the legacy Pricing system to improve its performance, durability and maintainability. Andrei also played a key role in the design and development of the new generation Pricing system from inception of the project and all the way to production implementation and post-production maintenance. Andrei has also worked at Bank of America as a Technical Lead, where he was responsible for building the IRP Archive system to replace the retiring trading platform of the Global Operation Technology Group / Division of Global Derivatives and Foreign Exchange department. He collaborated with business users and project managers to build the project development timeline and deliverables, designed the IRP Archive system architecture, and oversaw the work of onsite/offshore teams of developers to ensure that the new system was built according to design and business requirements. Andrei holds a Master's degree in Applied Mathematics from Voronezh State University. His technical skills include Java, Spring, and Search. With his solid skill set and extensive experience in software development, Andrei is a valuable asset to any team.
