Andrew DeFaria is an experienced Perl Developer with over 22 years of relevant experience in the industry. Currently working at Wells Fargo, he is involved in developing Perl Dancer applications. Andrew has a diverse career background, having worked in different roles and companies in the past. In his previous job at General Dynamics, Andrew served as the Solaris Administrator and PuppetMaster. He was responsible for setting up and maintaining dozens of Solaris 5.11 zone systems, including the setup of various services like NIS, DNS, NTP, SMTP, and AutoFS. Andrew introduced Puppet to the group and served as the Puppet Master. He also created Windows-based VMs for specific roles and developed Perl scripts for validation testing of Clearcase and Clearquest. Andrew's contribution to the company includes developing a Clearcase enhanced monitoring tool to monitor servers, loadavg, filesystems, and Clearcase objects like VOBs and views. At Avago Technologies, Andrew worked as a Build and Release Engineer. He was responsible for converting an internal project from a Jenkins/Perforce build system to the Broadcom/Avago standard of Electric Commander and Git. Andrew wrote a Perl script to drive signing of executables and another Perl script to remotely execute commands on Windows systems using Cygwin/ssh. Andrew's tech stack includes Puppet, test, and Jenkins. He is a highly skilled and experienced developer with a passion for creating high-quality applications.
