Andrew DiBiasio is a highly motivated, inspired, and team-oriented software engineer who loves to take risks and step out of his comfort zone. Currently, Andrew works as a Software Engineer at Starburst Data, where he builds and maintains the company's cloud infrastructure and develops software solutions for their SaaS product. In his previous role as a Software Development Engineer II at Amazon, Andrew worked in the Alexa AI-Natural Understanding org. He designed, developed, tested, released, and supported multiple tools and systems that helped scientists and developers experiment, build, and release features to their NLU models. Andrew typically worked with NLU scientists to help design and release features that they found valuable to complete their work. The services he owned were deployed to Amazon Web Services (AWS), and he used AWS services like API Gateway, Lambda, ECS, EC2, Step Functions, DynamoDB, and S3 to provide secure, distributed systems that scaled for their clients. Andrew's typical day involved spending time in design meetings, working on his remote Linux machine, creating a POC for a new tool or component in AWS, doing code reviews, and writing a lot of code. In his current role, he writes Java, Python, and TypeScript backend logic. Andrew completed his Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from the University of Massachusetts Lowell in 2015, and he completed his High School education from Central Catholic High School in 2013.
