Andrew Garcia is a rising software developer with a strong background in computer science. He attended the University of Southern California, where he obtained a degree in Computer Science. Andrew is currently a Member of Technical Staff (MTS) at VMware, where he is leveraging his skills and experience to drive innovation and deliver solutions that meet the needs of customers. Andrew has over 2 years of relevant experience in the software development industry. Prior to joining VMware, he worked as a Lead Software Engineer at Mobile Teacher LLC. In this role, he was responsible for leading the Android Development Team and designing and architecting new functionality based on stakeholder needs while leveraging their legacy codebase. He was instrumental in developing a range of features, including user creation, authentication, and data storage, role-based access control, content approval and storage system, email notification system, and push notification system. Andrew has a solid understanding of Android development tools, Google's Firebase Suite, and Nodejs. In addition to his work experience, Andrew has also served as a Teaching Assistant/Course Producer at the University of Southern California. He was responsible for teaching CSCI201 - Principles of Software Development and ITP115 - Introduction to Python Programming. Andrew's education background includes a degree in Computer Science from the University of Southern California and graduation from Santa Monica High School.
