He has worked with React since its earliest incarnations at Facebook and has driven its adoption across multiple teams and products. Andrew's efforts range from building early high-performance SPAs to leveraging React and JS for rapid VR application development. Over his career, he has emphasized tools and techniques that help teams move quickly and effectively within their codebase. Today, Andrew manages the team that helped rebuild facebook.com as a fully React+Relay driven SPA. They develop and maintain the Facebook Web Product and coordinate development of new features with a wide range of partner teams. In the past, Andrew has worked as a Software Engineer at Facebook, specializing in web performance and developer-friendly APIs. He was the lead engineer on JavaScript client projects and developed and launched open-source libraries like Parse+React (React bindings for applications built on Parse) and a rewritten version of the Parse JS SDK. Andrew also architected a new version of the Parse website, leveraging technologies like React, Webpack, and Babel to build a system that dramatically improved performance, development time, and stability. Andrew's education includes a BS in Computer Science from Cornell University, where he graduated in 2013.
