Andrew Klingelhofer is a Lead Frontend Engineer with over 7 years of relevant experience in Fullstack Engineering. He is currently working at Verkada, a Silicon Valley-based company, where he leads a team of three full-stack and web engineers to design and build UI/UX for Events & Notifications across all Verkada products. He is proficient in React, Typescript, GraphQL, and Node.js. At Verkada, Andrew has managed multiple interns through their semester-long projects and continued driving adoption of GraphQL while onboarding more teams and stakeholders. He has also recruited more engineers to help develop the GraphQL stack to improve velocity and output. Andrew has interviewed dozens of junior, mid-level, and senior candidates and helped revamp the interviewing process by creating more questions and working with recruiting to target better frontend candidates. He has presented progress and work at engineering-wide meetings. Before joining Verkada, Andrew worked as a Senior Full Stack Engineer at Uber, where he developed authorization for internal applications and worked on Engineering Security - Identity and Access Management (IAM) - Fullstack. He also has experience in Golang, React, and Cassandra. Andrew holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Computer Science from New York University and attended Menlo School. His technical skills include Frontend, Javascript, Typescript, NodeJS, UI, Web, Test, Software Engineer, and Cassandra. Andrew is passionate about developing new technologies and driving adoption of web best practices and engineering-wide documentation.
