Andrew McKnight is a highly skilled software engineer and computer scientist with a passion for mathematics, particularly number theory and geometry. He is also interested in security, devops, compilers, processors, and robotics. He is responsible for developing on iOS, researching Swift and its open-source usage, and maintaining a few hobby apps, frameworks, and tools. Prior to this, Andrew owned the Hive - Fairbanks Coworking and was the proprietor and developer at Two Ring Software. He worked on a 3-month contract with 121nexus to release an update to their 121Scan iOS app and an enterprise app for a customer, including new feature development, bug fixes, and integration of a new SDK extracted from previously in-application logic. He also continued maintenance of existing iOS apps for Insight Therapeutics and consulted and prototyped a new project. Additionally, Andrew worked on a 3-month contract with Rightpoint (project NDA) that parlayed into a full-time role. Andrew has a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Computer Science from Old Dominion University, which he received in 2013. He also has a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Computer Science from Old Dominion University, which he received in 2012. Before that, he earned an Associate of Science (A.S.) in Computer Science from Piedmont Virginia Community College in 2009 and an Advanced Diploma from Hylton in 2003. Andrew's tech stack includes iOS, research scientist, software engineer, Swift, and devops. He has relevant experience of 9.62 years in the field.
