Andrew Ng is a highly motivated and driven structural engineer with a Master's degree in Civil Engineering and a Bachelor's degree in Architectural Engineering from Drexel University. He is currently working as a Structural Engineer at Jacobs, where he is gaining real-world experience to take the Civil-Structural Professional Engineering Licensing exam. At Jacobs, Andrew is responsible for performing structural analysis and design to generate RAM structural models and Revit/AutoCAD drawing sets for portions of large industrial buildings, small structural elements, and foundations to ensure structural reliability. He has also served as a Structural Design Lead for Orange Line platform repairs of the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority, where he used Global Integrated Design for 24-hour workflow with international project teams. Andrew has conducted comment resolution in design-build and site-inspections with government officials and Kiewit Corporation to achieve interdisciplinary coordination under a strict schedule. He has also assisted in winning the bid contract by developing initial structural details and document language. Andrew possesses working knowledge of ASCE 7, ACI 318, IBC, AISC steel manual with adherence to localities. He serves as an AMTRAK contractor for the development of ADA elements in AMTRAK train stations across the country. Prior to joining Jacobs, Andrew worked as a Civil Engineer at Jacobs, where he utilized Civil 3D software to generate site layout, demolition, grading, utility, landscaping, and erosion control plans. He also proposed stormwater structures and pipes using TR-55 documentation and created profiles to assure system reliability. Andrew has also worked as a Surveyor Co-op at Langan Engineering & Environmental Services, where he staked out points for boundary and topographic surveys with Leica and Trimble GPS and rendered survey plans with Carlson software using data obtained from total stations. Andrew's educational background includes a Master's degree and a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering and Architectural Engineering, respectively, from Drexel University. He also holds a High School Diploma from Boyertown Area Senior High and attended Radnor High School. Andrew has 5.45 years of relevant experience.
