Andrew Reifers is an Associate Teaching Professor at the University of Washington, where he focuses on teaching cybersecurity to graduate students in the iSchool's Master of Science in Information Management Program. With over 20 years of relevant experience, he brings a wealth of knowledge to the classroom, drawing on his past roles as a CTO, Security Consultant, and Independent Contractor. Prior to joining the University of Washington, Andrew founded and served as CEO of Drist Coach Consulting, where he worked as a consultant, full stack developer, and security professional. He has also served as Chief Technology Officer at CPM Educational Program, where he helped math educators and students by technically enabling CPM's mission of empowering mathematics students and teachers through exemplary curriculum, professional development, and leadership. Andrew's tech stack includes expertise in senior software engineering, web development, Spring, Java, and AngularJS. He is passionate about improving his skills to benefit his clients and students, and he works hard to develop cost-effective solutions that work for small business owners. In his current role, Andrew hopes to improve the cybersecurity of tomorrow by educating today's students. He is committed to using his experience and knowledge to teach the next generation of cybersecurity professionals, and he is excited to make a positive impact on the field.
