Andrew Reitz is a highly experienced engineer with over 10 years of experience in various roles. He is a generalist and enjoys working with UNIX systems, networking, and programming. Currently, he is working as an Engineer at Stripe, where he is a part of the devtools team. His primary responsibility is to maintain Stripe's SCM, Code Review, developer environments, and CI infrastructure. Andrew's goal is to keep Stripe's engineers happy and productive and free them from as much drudgery as possible. Before joining Stripe, Andrew worked at Aggregate Knowledge as a Sysadmin/Developer, where he did whatever it takes to ensure the smooth functioning of the company's systems. He also worked at EDS as a Software Developer, where he was part of a team that built custom global OSS software. As a Field Engineer in the Automated Operations business unit, he provided advanced support and maintenance of a state-of-the-art OSS system. Andrew is a highly educated individual with an MS in Computer Science from the University of Illinois and a BS in Computer Science from Case Western Reserve University. He has a diverse tech stack that includes Software Engineering, Scala, Infra, Integration, Ruby, SRE, test, QA, and Frontend. Andrew has relevant experience of 20.12 years, making him a valuable asset to any organization he works for.
