Andrew Stuntz is a problem solver with a proven track record of developing and deploying web and mobile applications. He has 6+ years of experience writing software for the internet and robotics, as well as experience engineering hardware for small robotic systems. Andrew's expertise lies in writing software that is easy to use today and understandable tomorrow. He mostly writes Ruby and JavaScript but has also worked with MatLab, Python, and Elixir in the past. Andrew has a strong background in automating CI/CD, writing and rewriting test suites, refactoring major monolithic rails applications, working on React-Native applications, and architecting back-end systems. He works hard to close gaps in communication between development, design, and other stakeholders involved in the process. Andrew has experience working independently and pairing with other developers from all over the country with a myriad of development skills, expertise, and experiences. In addition to his software development skills, Andrew has worked with 3D printing technology, robotics, and other small electronic devices. He has built large SaaS products and one-off applications. Andrew is not just a great software engineer but also provides succinct thought processes and communication that goes beyond writing great software. Andrew has a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Physics from Fort Lewis College and a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Electrical Engineering from the University of New Mexico School of Engineering. He has worked as a Co-Founder at Kegmeisters, where he developed a SaaS product using API only RoR instance serving a JSON API formatted JSON to the frontend which was developed in React and React Native. Andrew also architected, built, and tested entire authorization, signup, inventory checkout/check-in (QR Scanning), payment processing, and reservation features as well as all other necessary features for both React-Native and React. He has also worked as a Chief Technology Officer at The D2D Experts. Currently, Andrew is the Head Of Engineering at Canary, where he leads a team of engineers to develop and deploy web and mobile applications. Andrew is a Senior Software Engineer with expertise in Ruby, CI/CD, test, JavaScript, mobile, backend, web, and Python. With 7.20 years of relevant experience, Andrew is a valuable asset to any team that is striving towards perfection but is also willing to ship when necessary.
