Andy Almand-Hunter is a Principal Software Engineer at Stitch Fix, bringing with him over 8 years of relevant experience. He has previously worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Colorado Boulder, where he designed and built ultrafast spectroscopy experiments involving precise manipulation of optical frequency combs, manipulation of Gaussian beams, pulse shaping, RF signal processing, and electronic feedback controls. He also built and repaired custom and commercial Ti:sapphire laser systems, designed and built analog and digital electronic feedback circuits, and authored and coauthored peer-reviewed journal articles. In addition, he advised undergraduate students during his time at the university. Andy has also worked as a Data Science Fellow at Insight Data Science. He holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Physics from Dartmouth College and a Master of Science (MS) in Physics from the University of Colorado Boulder. As a software engineer, Andy has a strong tech stack and has experience working as a Senior Software Engineer.
