Andy Dagnall is a committed and enthusiastic software development engineer with over 22 years of programming experience. He has extensive knowledge in full-stack web application development using Java and web technologies, as well as experience in a wide range of other technologies. Andy is able to work independently or as part of an agile team of developers, with experience working with both local and remote colleagues. Andy holds a class 2.1 bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Computation from Oxford University. Currently, he is a Software Engineer (Back-end) at Adarga, where he provides organizations with powerful AI analytics technology to analyze their disparate data, including unstructured information, to discover deep insights that drive faster and better decisions. Prior to joining Adarga, Andy worked as a Principal Software Engineer at Opentext for over 12 years. He was responsible for leading a team of six to eight developers across two locations, England and India, in a "Scrum Master" role, using Scrum/Agile approaches to ensure that the expectations set by the Senior Development Manager and Product Owners were met. Andy mentored junior software engineers on several occasions as they joined the team, including overseeing the production of technical on-boarding materials to assist their training.
