Andy Horner is an experienced Senior Developer with a strong background in media production and observability/instrumentation industries. He has a proven track record of success in Golang, Node.js, Devops, Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins, Ruby, Java, Kotlin, Android Development, and Continuous Integration. With a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Computer Science from Bowling Green State University, Andy has honed his skills and become a skilled engineering professional. Currently, Andy works as a Senior Software Engineer at New Relic, where he continues to showcase his expertise in software engineering, CI/CD, Android, Jenkins, Kubernetes, Docker, Javascript, DevOps, Integration, and testing. Prior to this, he worked at Gannett USA Today Network as a Senior Software Engineer, where he designed and developed an Android news platform using flexible techniques to deploy a full-featured application within hours. He also created an automated deployment process for building and publishing Android applications to the Google Play Store and scaled the Android news platform to 58 applications. Andy was also a founding member and contributor to the Content API, which is a GraphQL interface built with Golang that powers the USA TODAY Network. Additionally, he saved significant developer time by reducing CI/CD build duration while increasing test coverage with a comprehensive Jenkins pipeline. Before joining Gannett USA Today Network, Andy worked at Nationwide Financial as an Application Developer, where he developed web applications and unit test scripts for internal financial software during the summers of 2013 and 2014.
