Andy Tran is a Senior Technical Recruiter at Fivetran with over 11 years of experience in technical recruitment. He has worked in both agency and internal corporate settings and has helped grow engineering teams at Apteligent and Wavefront, both of which were acquired by VMware. He has also supported the technical organization at Gap Inc., hiring across various functions. Andy has experience identifying and hiring for Developers (mobile/web), InfoSec Engineers, Product/Program/Project Managers, and UX/UI Designers from varying levels of Associate to Sr Director. He has a strong understanding of the recruitment process and has optimized hiring processes to improve efficiency. Currently, Andy is responsible for supporting the engineering and analytics teams at Fivetran. Fivetran has automated data pipelines that help companies centralize their data from various sources and move all of their valuable data into their preferred data warehouse. The company's data-pipelines-as-a-service can be implemented with zero coding knowledge and zero maintenance, saving companies from investing their own resources into building their own tools and pipelines for every data source. Andy has played a key role in the company's growth, with the team more than doubling since 2019 and nearly 300 employees in 2020. Before joining Fivetran, Andy worked at Veeva Systems as a Talent Partner. He was the first technical recruiter at Veeva and was brought on to build a top-of-funnel pipeline and improve processes. He supported three VPEs and dozens of hiring managers for various product verticals and was responsible for full-cycle recruitment for all product engineering roles, including Front-end, Backend, Full-stack, DevOps, Cloud, and Mobile. He also established and optimized hiring processes and supported with ATS migration from Jobvite to Lever. Andy holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Art from California State University. He has a strong technical background and is proficient in Mobile, UI, Web, Data Warehouse, DevOps, Frontend, and Backend technologies.
