Andy Westmeyer is a Senior Software Engineer at Alteryx with over 17 years of relevant experience. He is interested in working in a software development environment that encourages mentoring and values people. With a background in mathematics, he brings unique perspectives that complement his computer science background. Andy has worked on the full stack, including frontend development using React and Angular, middle tier development using NodeJS, Java, and C++, and algorithm development using C++, Java, and JavaScript. He also has experience in data modeling and database design using Postgres, Oracle, and MongoDB, as well as DevOps in distributed systems using AWS and Azure. At Alteryx, Andy is currently working on cloud applications using ReactJS and Redux Sagas on the frontend. He also has experience with Docker, Helm, and GitLab YML. Prior to Alteryx, Andy worked as a Technical Team Lead at DCP Midstream where he acted as the tech lead for a new project and new team. He trained, mentored, and learned with his team's developers and worked on UI development, UI state management, cloud infrastructure, data structuring, application architecture, and DevOps build and release pipelines. He also practiced prototypes and new technologies during his free time, which can be seen on his Github. At Healthgrades, Andy worked as a Software Engineer, building services and APIs using NodeJS with Hapi framework, and building front end UI using React with Redux. Andy received his Masters of Science in Mathematics from the University of Wyoming in 2005.
