Andy Yan is a highly skilled Software Engineer with a passion for big data-related technologies. With over 4 years of relevant experience, he has worked on a variety of projects in areas such as distributed systems, parallel computing, data mining, machine learning, and cloud computing. Currently, he works as a Software Engineer at Confluent, a Cloud Partnership Service company. Prior to joining Confluent, Andy worked as a Member of Technical Staff - R&D at VMware, where he was responsible for the SDDC lifecycle management and CNS 1.0 & CNS 2.0 delivery, among other things. Before that, he worked as a Software Development Intern at Visa, where he contributed to the development of the Visa Data Platform - Commercial Programs - IntelliLink and the Visa business card transaction analytics module and data processing. Andy holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from the University of California, where he focused on big data-related technologies. He also holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Information Engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University. Andy's TechStack includes Software Engineering, AWS, Big Data, and ML.
