Angel Casado is a Senior Software Engineering Manager (iOS) at fuboTV, with over 11 years of relevant experience in the field. As the Director of Engineering at fuboTV, he is responsible for leading the development of the company's iOS app, ensuring that it meets the highest standards of quality and user experience. Prior to joining fuboTV, Angel worked as a Lead iOS and tvOS Engineer at Televisa, where he led a team of engineers through the development of a new video streaming service app for a Latin American audience. He wrote the app completely in Swift when the language was just released, and architected the code base to be reusable, reusing most of the components in their tvOS app. Angel collaborated deeply with the backend team on the early stages of the REST API, and worked closely with the UX/UI team, providing feedback on iOS and tvOS design standards. He also managed tickets, sprints, and releases in JIRA, and held code reviews to ensure a high standard for the code base. Additionally, he migrated away from an old ineffective DRM provider to Apple’s native DRM. Angel also worked as an iOS Engineer at Worldnetmedia, where he helped design and implement new features, designed UI in Photoshop, and handled API networking on several apps. He upgraded and maintained deprecated code with each new release of iOS, and deployed internal beta apps through TestFlight.
