Angel Malavar is a FullStack software engineer with over 8 years of relevant experience. Currently working as a Senior Software Engineer and Generalist at Nuvocargo, Angel is passionate about solving complex problems, learning new technologies, and proposing solutions to clients. He has worked with a variety of technologies and tools, including Software Engineering, SRE, CI/CD, QA, and DevOps. Angel has worked for different companies in the past, including X-Team, where he served as a Site Reliability Engineer. In this role, he helped standardize processes and introduced a DevOps culture with best practices. He built tools to automate and help cross-developer teams, and he was the go-to person for configuration management through an API specifically designed for their needs. Additionally, he helped standardize CI/CD processes, supported leads, QA teams, and core business teams during releases with minimum or zero downtime to meet the SLO's - SLA's. Angel also worked as a Lead Software Engineer for Fanbot, a small startup that rewards customers through prizes at per visit in a partnered place while knowing them at the same time. He created a development environment to add changes due to legacy code in production only, reduced cloud services costs, and implemented new functionalities on demand. He also prototyped Fanbot freemium to continue growing the business. Angel holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from Universidad Politécnica del Estado de Morelos (UPEMOR) de México and has completed an Advanced iOS Course from Wizeline Academy.
