Angeline Pinilla is a Senior Software Engineer at HashiCorp with over 5 years of relevant experience. She is currently part of the Cloud Developer Productivity team at HashiCorp, where she is responsible for developing software that helps developers increase their productivity. Prior to joining HashiCorp, Angeline worked at Jun Group as a Software Developer. During her time there, she built data pipelines using Apache Beam (Java) on GCP with Dataflows, Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions, BigQuery, and Pub/Sub. She also migrated staging environment provisioning from Ruby scripts to Terraform + Ansible as part of TeamCity build pipeline and maintained Ruby on Rails Ad-Network application. Additionally, Angeline integrated data retrieval from BigQuery with Apollo GraphQL server. Angeline also worked as a Civic Digital Fellow in Research and Methodology at the U.S. Census Bureau in collaboration with Coding it Forward. Her ongoing project within the Research & Methodology Directorate involves developing a new generation of automated data analysis tools to assist statisticians and disclosure avoidance officers. These tools can compare a privacy-sensitive dataset with a synthetic dataset and report statistical similarities and differences. Angeline holds a Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) degree in Computer Science from Cornell University College of Engineering, where she graduated in 2017. She also has a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Psychology from The Johns Hopkins University, where she graduated in 2014. Additionally, Angeline studied Developmental Disorders & Health Economics at Universitat de Barcelona as part of her CIEE Study Abroad Semester in 2013. She completed her high school education at West Morris Mendham High School in 2010, where she earned her High School & IB Diploma. Angeline's tech stack includes Software Engineering, Ruby, Research Scientist, Ansible, Terraform, GCP, and Java.
