Angshuman Thakuria is a final year undergraduate student with a passion for Industrial Engineering, Computational Food Engineering (Chemometrics, Image Processing, Spectroscopy, ML/DL), Food Quality, and Food Safety. He is skilled in Six Sigma, Lean, Operations/ Quality Management, CAD, and Deep Learning. He is currently pursuing a B.Tech in Food Engineering and Technology from Tezpur University. Angshuman's current interests lie in Data Science, Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, and Process Engineering. As a part of his Bachelor's project, he is co-developing a computer vision-based system to sort and grade agricultural products. He has also worked as a Research Intern at DRDO and Material Nanochemistry Laboratory - IASST. At DRDO, he synthesized carbon dot at copper oxide nanocomposite using green precursors and investigated its antimicrobial efficacy against several pathogens. At Material Nanochemistry Laboratory - IASST, he fabricated and characterized sustainable and intelligent biodegradable polymers incorporated with nanoparticles for use as a food packaging material. He also designed and developed a mechanism to detect VOCs using the fluorescence turn-on/turn-off property of CDs. He has handled several analytical instruments such as UV-Vis, FTIR, PL, DLS, TGA & UTM. Angshuman's tech stack includes Research Scientist, Deep Learning, Computer Vision, Image Processing, QA, ML, and Data Scientist. He has relevant experience of 2.61 years. Currently, he is working as a Research Intern at DRDO, where he is involved in Bioresource-mediated synthesis of Carbon nanomaterials (CNTs, CDs, graphene, fullerenes, etc) as antibacterial agents.
