Aniket Sharma is an accomplished Engineering Leader with over 10 years of experience in building and scaling enterprise-grade platforms. He has a proven track record of building teams from scratch and is highly skilled in building highly available, scalable, and distributed services. Aniket is the creator of DiscoDesk and proficient in Java, Golang, and NodeJS. He is also dabbling in React. Currently, Aniket is the Director of Engineering at Freshworks, where he is building and scaling the Neo Communications Platform. This platform consists of Collaboration, Channels, Email, and Notifications. The Collaboration Platform Service enables collaboration across Freshworks products as well as third-party products like Slack, MS-Teams, and Zoom. The Channels Platform Service is driving customer support through WhatsApp, LINE, ABC, Google Business Messages, Instagram, and Twilio SMS. The Email service provides Emails as a Service, and Notifications provide Real-time Notifications as a Service. Prior to his current role, Aniket was a Senior Engineering Manager at Freshworks, where he built and scaled the Collaboration Platform Service and transitioned FreshConnect from a product to a platform service. He also built and scaled the Channels Platform Service, driving customer support through WhatsApp, LINE, ABC, and Google Business Messages. Before that, he was an Engineering Manager at Freshworks, where he built and scaled FreshConnect, a product that enables collaboration across Freshworks and beyond. Aniket holds a B.E. (Hons) EEE degree from BITS, Pilani, and completed his H.S.C from Ryan International School. His tech stack includes Senior Software Engineer, NodeJS, Golang, and Java.
