Anil Kumar is a seasoned product leader, author, technologist, and entrepreneur with over 12 years of experience in the technology industry. He is currently the Director of Product Management at Couchbase, where he is responsible for the product strategy and management of the Couchbase Product Line. Anil has scaled and led the product and business in multiple areas, including performance, high availability, cloud/container strategy, and technical partnerships. He has also architected NoSQL solutions for large customers, driven sales strategy, and managed a team of product managers. Anil is an expert in global product and solutions marketing, core company and product messaging, positioning, strategy, product launches, market & competitive research, and more. He is also the author of 2019's Best Kubernetes Books of All Time from Book Authority, titled "Couchbase & Kubernetes: Autonomously Distributed Database." Prior to his current role, Anil held several positions at Couchbase, including Principal Product Manager and Senior Product Manager / Technical Manager. In these roles, he was responsible for overall Couchbase Server product development, roadmap, positioning, messaging, and collateral. Anil's educational background includes a Postgraduate Degree in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning: Business Applications from the University of Texas, a Degree in Software Product Management from the University of Washington, and an MS in Computer Sciences from Toronto Canada. He also holds a B Tech in Computer Sc. & Engg from Vishveshwaraiah Technological University, a Certificate in Effective Human Interactions & Relationships from Dale Carnegie, and completed his Pre-University in Science from KLE Society's P.C. Jabin Science College and High School from Kendriya Vidyalaya. Anil's technical expertise includes product management, Kubernetes, research science, and NoSQL.
