Anil Singh is a highly skilled Director of Engineering with over 16 years of experience in the power industry. Currently working at Canadian Solar Inc., he adeptly provides engineering management and direction for the development of grid-scale green and brownfield Solar Farms. Anil is responsible for resource assessment and engineering development of projects and works with various external stakeholders such as equipment manufacturers, banks, grid consultants, EPCs, and technical DD consultants. He also manages the EPC delivery of the project through to commercial operations, ensuring that the generator asset under construction meets or exceeds its financial metrics and engineering efficacy. Anil has previously worked as an Electrical Engineering Manager at Citipower and Powercor, where he managed a highly productive multidisciplinary engineering design team for the delivery of renewable energy grid connections including transmission and sub-trans solar and wind farm connections, network substation augmentation works, and bushfire mitigation program of works. He also led the development and roll-out of IEC 61850 adoption into Citipower and Powercor substations. Prior to his role at Citipower and Powercor, Anil was a Transmission & Distribution Lead Engineer at Aurecon, where he led large competitive bids for design and consultancy projects in the power industry and rail. He also led a team of primary and secondary engineers to deliver designs for power utilities nationally in Australia. Anil holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering from the Durban Institute of Technology. He has a diverse tech stack, including experience as a Senior Software Engineer, Android, iOS, Integration, Mobile, test, DevOps, AWS, DAO, Backend, CI/CD, Jenkins, Azure, and Frontend. With his extensive experience and expertise, Anil is a valuable asset to any organization in the power industry.
