Anirban Basak is a highly skilled data engineer who is currently working as a Consultant at Capgemini's Insights & Data division. With a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Power Engineering from Jadavpur University, Anirban has gained proficiency in Big Data development, specifically in Hadoop, HDFS, Map-Reduce, Hive, HBase, Sqoop, Talend (ETL), SQL, Shell Scripting, and elementary programming in Java. He has also fixed and optimized change-data-capture scenarios of the current data ingestion pipeline, which served data to downstream systems, thereby solving major issues. He has also retrofitted data from old source systems to newly developed systems. Anirban has previously worked as an Associate Consultant and a Senior Analyst at Capgemini, where he was responsible for maintaining a crucial data lake for a power utility client based out of Singapore. Anirban has been appreciated by clients for building Talend jobs by himself for automating particular tasks for production release, reducing cut-over processing time.
