Anjali D. is a UX Researcher at Chewy, where she specializes in understanding the pet parent experience. She is a recent graduate of the Georgia Tech Masters program in Human-Computer Interaction, where she also served as a Teaching and Research Assistant. Anjali has a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and a minor in Psychology from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Anjali's interdisciplinary background allows her to research and inform inclusive and effective designs that universally help people. Anjali is passionate about mentoring and offers 30-minute career mentoring sessions for students who wish to pursue UX Research or for new grads entering the field. At Chewy, Anjali covers research needs for the Healthcare and Autoship product teams by conducting qualitative research that uncovers users' behaviors and identifies opportunities and pain points. She collaborates with her product partners to share findings and provide them with the customer perspective to enable user-friendly product designs. Anjali's past experience includes a UX Research Internship at Chewy, where she jumpstarted an accessibility initiative on the UX Research team. She created a playbook documenting the process of conducting studies with screen reader users to kickstart inclusive research practices. She also designed and deployed a survey with 100 respondents to uncover preferences in the shopping journey of Veterinary-authorized food at Chewy and competitors. Anjali has also worked as a Research Assistant in the SocWeb Lab at Georgia Tech, where she completed a literature review and competitive analysis for existing mental health apps analyzed from a Data Viz and Clinical ED lens. She was also a research assistant on a joint study between Georgia Tech and Lehigh University to create tools for eating disorder patients to help them reflect on their condition.
