Ankit is a highly experienced engineering leader with over 14 years of experience in building large-scale systems. He has a proven track record of delivering results and has worked across multiple domains, including food tech, gaming, hospitality, e-commerce, and job portals. Ankit is proficient in architecting highly scalable real-time N-tier systems, performance tuning, capacity planning, infrastructure alerting, and monitoring. He has led large global teams across multiple geographies and has exposure to building microservices and service-oriented architecture. Currently, Ankit is the VP Engineering (Adtech) at Zomato, where he is leading the advertisement vertical and has increased revenue by 3-4x in the last year. He is working with CXOs to ensure advertisement revenue becomes a key driver in Zomato's road to profitability. Ankit has helped big restaurant chains increase their market share by building various advertisement products, including user cohorts targeting, improving share in lean hours, and competition targeting. He has also improved CTRs for ad slots. Ankit has previously worked as the Assistant Director of Engineering at PlayStation and the Director of Engineering at OYO. He has a B.Tech degree in Computer Science from UPTU and completed his schooling from St. Mary's Academy. Ankit's tech stack includes senior software engineering, microservices, and infra.
