Ankit Dhall is a highly skilled Computer Vision and Machine Learning professional with over 5 years of experience in the field. He is currently working as a Computer Vision and Machine Learning expert at LatticeFlow, where he is building tools to deploy trustworthy and robust AI. Ankit is passionate about researching and developing techniques in Computer Vision, Machine learning, and Robotics to improve the state of Artificial Intelligence. He enjoys working on combining classical methods with data-driven approaches to solve open-ended and challenging problems faced by the best in the industry. Ankit completed his graduate studies at ETH-Zurich, where he explored research areas at the intersection of Computer Vision, Machine Learning, and Autonomous Driving. During his time at ETH-Zurich, he was fortunate to collaborate with people at Andreas Krause's group on learning representations for images with hierarchical labels, Luc van Gool's group on autonomous driving, and Roland Siegwart's group on robotics. Ankit spends his time contributing to open-source software. Prior to his current role, Ankit was involved in autonomous driving research at nuTonomy (now Motional) and AMZ Driverless. He has also worked as a Computer Vision Engineer at Seervision AG, where he developed the computer vision and machine learning pipeline for automated professional video production. Ankit has also worked as a Master Thesis student at ETH Zurich, where he worked on Hierarchical Image Classification using Entailment Cone Embeddings, which involved learning hyperbolic embeddings to perform fine-grained classification of images. The models and techniques were later deployed in the form of an app to classify butterfly specimens. Ankit has a Master of Science degree in Computer Vision, Machine Learning, and Robotics from ETH Zurich and a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Vellore Institute of Technology.
