Ankit Jain is a seasoned Software Engineer with over 11 years of relevant experience in the industry. Currently working at Microsoft, Ankit has a proven track record of troubleshooting performance issues, analyzing bottlenecks and making recommendations/modifications to improve the performance of the device. Ankit's major work areas are application launch, frame drops, Linux Memory, CPU Scheduling, Android Low Memory Killers, and Oppo Hyperboost. He has considerable experience in debugging and profiling Android Performance issues using systrace, perfetto, traceview, android logging system, etc. Additionally, Ankit has expertise in developing automation tools to assist in debugging and meeting performance requirements of the project. Ankit has worked with Oppo as an Android Performance Engineer and Samsung as a System Performance Engineer. At Samsung, he worked on Android Process management to have better multitasking, faster app launch, and better RAM management. He also worked on userspace and in-kernel lowmemorykillers for Android, measuring the impact of in-kernel lowmemorykiller vs lmkd. Ankit also wrote automation scripts for measuring application startup performance and profiled system memory across all binary releases during the development phase of the projects. Ankit holds a Bachelor of Technology (BTech) degree in Computer Science from the LNM Institute of Technology, Jaipur. He has a keen interest in programming, data structures & algorithms, Android Framework, Linux Memory Management, C, C++, Java, and Android Lowmemorykillers. Ankit has two patents on Android Process/Memory Management, namely Process Killing Management and Proactive Availability Of System Resources.
